Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a seamstress by hobby. My mother taught me to sew as a child and over the years we have been partners in many sewing projects. As a child, I remember her sewing into the wee hours of the morning to finish a dress or project so that I would have it the next day. I dedicate this blog to her. I see sewing as a creative process with fundamental concepts. I would like to share my successes and failures with you and I am hopeful that through this process I will pass along a few tips, some guidance and encouragement.
